Tribes 2 - Tactics This section of the guide is where the tactics come in. I'll stick some here
from time to time, but I'm sure their are players out there with tactics of
their own, so here is where you can have them on display for other Tribes 2
players to read! :).
I'll only post well thought out tactics and will credit you with your name
(player or full name). So if you want to help other gamers out send me your
tactics by
emailing me.
Please note I will read all the emails, but I will be unable to reply to them
all.

Here's a great tactic for Tribes2 that I came up with several weeks ago and
which has enjoyed great success. It's the most flexible bomber crew
configuration I can think of, and it's allowed my bombing team to dominate the
skies indefinitely. Here's the rundown of the crew loadouts:
Pilot: Sniper gear
Bombardier: Sniper gear
Tailgunner: Heavy armor with Inventory Station pack
After takeoff the pilot flies near the enemy base but continues until going out
of the mission area, setting down on a good level spot. The tailgunner
jumps out, and here's where the Inventory Station pack comes in. He
deploys the pack, drops a homing beacon to mark the spot, and then uses the
Inventory Station to get an Ammo pack. After the tailgunner gets back in
the bomber it's time to wreak havoc! The additional missiles provided by
the Ammo pack give enemy Shrikes that try to get on your tail something
important to think about. The additional flares allow the bomber to evade
plenty of missiles, and when those flares finally run out, the crew can follow
the beacon and return to the Inventory Station. Once back at your base
away from home, the tailgunner can resupply on flares, or get a Repair pack and
do some spot patches on the bomber. Then it's back to the skies which you
now own.
There's another benefit to this crew compliment as well, and that's its ability
to hold ground. With the combo of two snipers and a heavy, this bomber
could land in a hot spot and remain until reinforcements arrive. Imagine that
your team needs to hold a particular hill until help arrives, but the enemy is
closing in fast and your forces there are pretty thin. The bomber could
land on that hill, allowing the pilot and bombardier to pop braincases with
their laser rifles or jet to the enemy in close combat, while the tailgunner
switches to his mortar and lobs explosive love. Air support alone can't hold ground, but this bomber crew can land and hold out
until the cavalry arrives.
