Load the game, and head to the configuration area where you can setup your keys and play with the options to suit you. Play the game's training modes. Here you will pick up key skills - make sure you complete all the training on offer. If there is a single player option use it. Get some experience of the game before going online. Get the latest patches. Patches are released to add new features to the game and to fix any bugs. You need the latest patches to play online.

Within the game manual or on the box you will find a website link to find patch lists and download links. If you are having trouble try going to http://www.google.com and enter <Game Name> latest pc patch. For recently released games you can usually find the latest game patches on the cover discs of the latest games magazines (in some cases this is a better method due to the size of some of the patches).

How to use the mouse & keyboard combination. - This will open a window outlining the way to using your mouse and keyboard, and what keys are commonly used. You'll need to master this to play well online, and after a few goes you'll get used to it and it will become second nature.

Once you have the latest patches installed take one last look at the game. Double check everything is ok and then connect to the internet...

Check List:

• Game is installed.

• Your keys are setup.

• You've completed all the training modes / missions.

• Game is patched to the latest version. (again check game publishers website or search on Google for the latest patch).
