Medal Of
Honor: Allied Assault - Map Room New Game: Here you will find the “Basic
Training” option, which I highly recommend every player to try – whether
you’re a beginner or advanced soldier you’ll pick up some valuable tips for
the action you’ll be facing. You will also be able to start the awesome
single-player mode from here.
Select Difficulty: There are three difficulty
options.
Easy – Lots of health packs, and enemies are easier to
deal with. But I’d recommend not using this mode if you’ve played a number
of similar games before.
Normal – Health packs are harder to find, and the enemies are more
intelligent. Good mode for most players to start the single player game on.
Hard – Hardly any health packs around, and the enemies are on heat; ready to
blow you away the second they see you. If you fancy a challenge then the hard
setting will supply it, and then some!

Briefing Room: While the single-player mission loads
you will be shown the mission briefing which outlines your objectives.
Options: Lots and lots of options available, and
luckily the game’s manual describes these in detail (page10-11). The default
settings are fine, although if possible turn up the Texture detail (if the game
slows down too much then lower it), and try not to increase the resolution too
much. 800x600 is playable, anything just over that is just a visual enhancement.
What would you prefer? Either a sexy looking game with all the bells and
whistles, running really slow, or a decent looking game that runs fast. Trust me
on this, when playing multiplayer you need all the speed you can get, and
thankfully MOH on lower visual settings still looks damn fine. My advice is to
do a bit of tweaking before you start playing to get a good balance between
speed and visual looks.
