Just as the dust is settling on Call of Duty: Black Ops, out pops Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3! Check out these trailers, and keep an eye on the Facebook Page for the latest updates. Due for release in November 2011

A new Call of Duty map pack coming out 3rd May 2011. Here’s a taster of what to expect, including a very interesting looking Zombie addition with no other than zombie legend George Romero making an appearance

Cloud Gaming first popped up around 2009. The idea is to stream games across your net connection removing the need for expensive console or PC hardware. Now my first thoughts were “good idea!”, then the thought of just how fast could this be across an internet connection be creeped into my head… Surely it will be like going back in time playing on an old 56k modem? Apparently there maybe some good news on this .

The first mission pack “First Strike” hits the streets this Feb 2nd. Be prepared to battle it out on 5 new multiplayer maps…

“Kowloon” brings in ziplines providing quick access to map areas, but also in turn makes you a nice juicy target on the rooftops of a towering Chinese sprawl.

“Discovery” lands you in a frozen german outpost in Antarcitca, with a new collapsible bridge.

“Berlin Wall” features combat from both sides of the wall and a deadly no-mans land inbetween, sure to bring some intense firefight action.

“Stadium” provides an a pro hockey arena which is sure to encourage intense close combat fights

Finally “Ascension” takes place within a Soviet Launch Facility, where zombies await to rip you to pieces…

I’m back… I had to take a short break due to December being the busiest period of the year at my place of work. After a heavy new years eve I planned to dive back into the guides website, but work popped up to dragged me away for another 3 weeks…

However at this point in time (looks over shoulder at work place) things look quieter and I’m focusing my attention on the site with more updates and tweaks to come. I still plan to do the COD guide but need an xbox screencapturing setup before I can put the guide together.

I’m also on the look out for anyone who wants to cut their teeth at writing articles or guides. If your are interested get in contact .

09 Nov 2010 – Release Day: In a few words… Jaw dropping amazing! Full review to follow shortly as I attempt to fight through Call of Duty: Black Ops Single Player and take a dip into the Multiplayer Options…

Time: 13:10-15:07 – First 2 hours down and single player looks impressive, action all the way! Good looking visuals and stunning landscape views… Gritty storyline too with you starting the game strapped to a chair being interrogated about your history. This results in multiple flashbacks where you have to put together the pieces of what’s happening to you and work out the odd numbers flashing through your mind… The first few levels taking you on a mission to assassination Castro in Cuba, followed by a bloody break out of a russian prison camp and then a trip to the pentagon to meet up with President Nixon before taking on another acton packed mission…

I want to jump back into it, but another real life duty calls and I’m off food shopping… More later…

Time: 09:25 – Armed with a coffee I have a think back at last nights 3 hours gamplaying where I sneaked into a Russian base with a mission to stop the launch of a rocket with any means necessary, which basically meant blowing things up and frequent gun fights… a jump in the storyline dropped me into an intensely satisfying Vietnam level which will leave gunfire ringing in your ears for hours after… a thrust forward in the flashback time line and I’m leaping across the Hong Kong roof tops protecting a scientist from multiple enemies located in what random windows and street corners… another leap back to WW2 as a Russian launching a full assault onto a German arctic base…

Time to finish off the single player and leap into the multiplayer tonight, a full review will be posted here soon after

Note: I went missing in action for days after my last post. Overall the game is excellent and the single player is long enough to keep your attention, before you explode onto the the multiplayer scene!
