Counter Strike - Advanced Configs



Here's a selection of configs:
NOTE: Always backup your configs first :)

Nez's Connection tweaked Configs (v2.2)
There are three configs, and each have been tweaked to give you higher fps and a better connection to CS servers.

Nez's configs for modem (HPB), and ISDN. Will also provide starting points for other types of connections.

Feel free to customize the configs. Think of them as a helping hand to get you started and tweak them to suit your needs.

About version 2.2:
Fixes a bug that occurred if the config was used in Direct 3D mode.

About version 2.1:
Nez: The new tweak configs have had a few alterations over the past few days what with the new valve patch out and CS 6.6, so I set to work finding the best tweaks I could as usual. I've had a few people moan about the fact they were lpb and couldn't seem to hit anything so I had a little play around and gave the resulting cfgs to players and they were happily amazed to find they were hitting the mark again.

The hpb cfg has had a bit of a face lift and tidied up because some of you moaned at how I wasn't tidy. I've also added a few tweaks, but the one most of you will be happy with is the lowcfg for those systems that give appalling fps of 20 or less this I've really gone to town on. I'd expect quite a good fps increase. 

As usual just place in cstrike dir and exec the cfg of you're desired choice in game (via console /exec <config name>.cfg Or rename the config of your choice to autoexec.cfg and the game will auto run it)

Lewis's FPS Config
Designed to give you the most FPS (frames per second) possible on your machine when playing CS: Lewis's Config.

Llama's CS Config
I've managed to get Llama to release his config which he has been tweaking for ages (he's a config nut :)). You can grab a copy of it here: Llama's Config.

Morpheus's Advanced Config (Version 2)
If you're new to CS then use your own config for the time being. This config is best left to players who are confident with CS and know how configs work.

Morpheus has spent a lot of time setting up his config, and it shows :). Everything is labelled and there are a few text documents in there to help guide you through the config. This is a top class config and is defiantly worth a look. You can download it here: CixCS-Configv2.zip.

CS-B's advanced HUD v1.1
Nez  has been playing with this config for a few weeks and it is now ready for public release :).

TO INSTALL:
Unzip the files into your cstrike directory. Then open your config and bind a key like so: bind "]" "exec csb.cfg" or change the key to something else.

Now when your playing CS press ] (or the key you changed it to) and press the kp_home key (number 7 key on the far right). This will activate the menu. To navigate the menu press the keys listed on it.
